Puyallup Jr Vikings (PJV) 2023 Tackle Registration is Open NOW!

 

2023 Season:

August - Early November 

 

Tackle Football:  Age 7 - 14*  

*The age the child is on August 1, 2023 determines the team. 14U has an age limit of 14 and grade limit of 8th in order to be eligible.  

Please read the following information carefully. 

 

- Our Season Outline -  

Football Practices: August through Early November

• Pre Labor Day: 5 nights a week (Mon - Fri) 6pm - 8pm at (location to be announced) 
• After Labor Day: 3 nights a week (Tue - Thurs) 6pm - 8pm at (location to be announced

 

- Game Days - 

Game Days:  Games are typically held on Saturdays, (although an occasional Sunday cannot be ruled out), beginning in mid-August through early-November. Game locations are held in the greater Puget Sound Area. 

 

Typical Game Times: 

• 12u - 11:00 am -12:30 pm
• 11u - 9:00 am - 10:30 am
• 10u - 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
• 9u - 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
• 8u - 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm 

 

 - Uniform/Equipment - 

Football Registration fee includes: rented Riddell Shoulder Pads & rented Riddell Game Jersey, practice field fees, home stadium game fees, league fees, light tower rentals, and trophies. Those items marked "rented" will need to be returned at the end of the season. You provide: Mouth guard, Undershirt, Rubber sole football Cleats and Water Bottle.

 

- Volunteer Shift Requirement–

Being a member of PJV Football and Cheer, you as a parent or guardian agree to volunteer at four (4) events/shifts, per family, to assist the program by filling much needed volunteer positions on game days and other PJV activities. 

 

Volunteer positions include things like: 

Concessions, Gate Sales, Announcing, Clock Timer, Chain Gang, Merchandise Sales, Stadium Clean Up etc. 

Your family will be assigned volunteer positions to fulfill throughout the season. It is your responsibility to work with your team mom to find a replacement/trade shifts if you are unable to work on the day assigned. Please know shifts will be assigned before or after your child's game so you will not miss cheering them on.  If you wish to NOT be assigned volunteer time, please see the Volunteer Buy-Out option below. 

 

Volunteer Buy-Out: We are offering a “volunteer buy-out” for $200. This option is ONLY available during registration. This option will excuse your family from having to fulfill the four (4) event/shift volunteer requirement for the 2023 season. These funds will allow us to backfill empty positions by hiring help if needed.  Why a buy-out option? Frankly, we need your family's help! PJV is a 100% volunteer ran organization and it requires many hands to keep things running smoothly. Each year we are finding it increasingly difficult to find sufficient volunteers to help during key events. Having a Volunteer Buy-Out may allow us to hire help when needed. What happens if we did not opt to do the "Volunteer Buy-Out" and our family does not the volunteer hours?  If the 4 shift, per family, volunteer requirement has NOT been met at the conclusion of the season, your family will be invoiced a $200 fee for the shifts not completed. This fee must be paid prior to registering for future PJV programs. 

 

-Sibling Discount -

We offer a $50 sibling discount for families with multiple athletes (football or cheer one discount per additional registration. Email operationspjv@gmail.com for code.

 

 - 2023 Registration Fees -

 Registration Cost: $350 per player registration fee 

 

Optional Volunteer Buy-Out: $200 per family (make sure you only choose this buy-out once if registering multiple children) This will excuse you from the volunteer requirements.

 

-Registration Fee Payment Options -

Pay in full: Submit total fees online today upon conclusion of this registration session via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account.

Payment Plan: Fees will be divided into installments with the first installment of $50 to be collected at the conclusion of your registration. Payment can be provided via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account. The remaining balance is to be divided and automatically deducted from the SAME ACCOUNT monthly on the last of the month with the last payment scheduled for 08/01/2023.

- Registration Tips -

Please read each page carefully to ensure that all information is accurately supplied.  Registration is accepted first come; first serve through our registration system. When a team becomes full, it will no longer be offered. A waitlist form can be found on our website.  Please note that 14U has an age limit of 14 and grade limit of 8th in order to be eligible.  

 

Please have the following handy to complete registration through our secured site: Medical insurance information; Physician name and phone number Scanned copy of your child's State Certified Birth Certificate (new football players only) & Visa or MasterCard for registration fees.

Our non-profit 501(c)3 football organization is proud to represent the Puyallup and surrounding area in the Narrows Youth Football League.  Our football program is open to 1st through 8th grade. We are proud to be a feeder program to Puyallup High School. 

We are also excited to have a Championship Cheer squad supporting our teams that energize our crowd and players with Team Spirit!  Cheer is open to registrants from Kindergarten to 8th Grade.
